PLA, a lactic acid polymer, is produced from fermented biomass.
We use this fantastic building block for our bio-plastic products. They are made from a renewable natural raw material, which results in lower CO2 emissions than oil-based plastics, as well as being biodegradable and compostable – according to the European EN13432 standard. Our bio-plastics are also recyclable under specific conditions.
Pure PLA applications, mostly transparent, are only suitable for cold applications. Converted PLA or C-PLA, usually pigmented, are suitable for cold and hot applications.
BAGASSE, the residual fibers from sugar cane production, used to be considered a waste product and incinerated. In recent years, however, it has been utilised as a raw material in the production of various catering materials and packaging. Bagasse products are suitable for liquid, cold and hot applications.
These natural fibers are, of course, completely compostable.
